Double Double is a clone of the classic Atari video game Loopz. This free online java game is similar in some respects to another classic, Tetris, in that you have pieces (pipes) of different shapes which you need to place in a particular formation. For every closed loop which you create, that loop will disappear, thus increasing your score and clearing extra space on the playing area. However, unlike Tetris your pieces do not fall downwards from the top of the screen. Instead, you are able to hover your pipes over any part of the game board before deciding where to drop. You only have four seconds to drop each blue pipe on the board using your mouse or arrow keys to move and your left mouse button or space bar to drop. If you have not dropped within the four seconds, the computer will place your pipe automatically on the spot where you are hovering. Like in the game of Tetris, you can rotate each piece to try to fit it in with other pieces in the best way possible. Rotation is achieved using your right mouse button or return key. If you drop a pipe and decide that you really didn't want to position that particular piece in the location you dropped, you can erase the pipe from the board by hovering a blue piece over the underlying one which you wish to delete and pressing the middle mouse button or e key. However, to make things a little more challenging, you can only do this if you have scored at least 100 points since your last erasing was done, which is indicated by an 'X'. There is a high score board so that you can see how well you have done in relation to the top 100 players - If you're good enough you can attain fame and get on the high score board yourself!
